  • Monday / Wednesday / Friday
    • AM Shift: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
    • PM Shift: 2:00 PM - 12:00 AM
  • Tuesday / Thursday / Saturday
    • AM Shift: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
    • PM Shift: 2:00 PM - 12:00 AM
  • Every Other Sunday (Required)
    • Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
    • Evening Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Are you passionate about supporting adolescents and building a meaningful career in behavioral health? New Haven is hiring a Direct Support Professional / Youth Mentor to work directly with teen girls in a structured, therapeutic residential setting.
New Haven is a nationally recognized residential treatment center serving adolescent girls ages 14-18. Our Spanish Fork campus provides a warm, home-like environment where mental health care, trauma-informed support, and academics come together. We help teens and families navigate emotional regulation, relational challenges, and behavioral health needs using a family-centered, strengths-based approach.
This role is ideal for individuals interested in or pursuing careers in psychology, social work, counseling, behavioral science, or human services, and for those seeking hands-on experience as a Direct Support Professional, Behavioral Health Technician, or Youth Mentor.
Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care and behavioral health support to adolescent residents
  • Lead and participate in daily routines, group activities, and therapeutic programming
  • Support the development of healthy coping skills, communication, and emotional regulation
  • Assist with minor food preparation and model healthy lifestyle habits
  • Maintain a safe, structured, trauma-informed environment
  • Collaborate with therapists and clinical staff to support individualized treatment plans
  • Document daily progress notes and communicate key updates to leadership
  • Use safe verbal de-escalation and physical intervention skills when needed

Paid training provided, including substance use recovery support and crisis intervention techniques.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 21 years of age or older
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Ability to pass a Utah State background check
  • Willingness to commit to a minimum of 8 months
  • Ability to obtain a Food Handler's Permit before the first day of work
