Splunk Administrator

My name is Bill Stevens, and I have a new six month plus Splunk Administrator opportunity available for a major firm located in Holmdel, New Jersey and Bethlehem, Pennsylvania that could be of interest to you, please review my specification below. The work schedule will be a hybrid three days a week in the office and two days remote, no exceptions. The ideal candidate must have residency within the New York, New Jersey, or Pennsylvania areas. Local candidates are highly preferred due to the fact that he/she must be in attendance in either of the firms Holmdel, New Jersey or Bethlehem, Pennsylvania offices.

This position pays $80.00 per hour on a w-2 hourly basis or $90.00 per hour on a Corp-to-Corp basis. The Corp rate is for independent contractors only and not third-party firms. No Visa entanglements and no H1-B holding companies. 

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Splunk Administrator with expertise in Splunk and Zenoss to join our IT operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the administration, configuration, and maintenance of our observability tools to ensure optimal performance and reliability of our IT systems.

The ideal candidate should have:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT administration with a focus on Splunk and Zenoss.

Proven experience in managing and maintaining observability tools.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Splunk (including configuration, administration, and dashboard creation).

Proficiency in Zenoss (including setup, configuration, and maintenance).

Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, applications, and networking.

Experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, Bash).

Familiarity with cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) is required.
