About This Role

About our school:

MINE, ME & US Montessori School provides a nurturing, educational, authentic Montessori environment for children ages 6 weeks through 12 years. We are a year-round school where children are encouraged and supported to do the important lifework of becoming a fully developed, whole person who is mindful of individual, environmental, and community responsibilities.


MINE, ME & US Montessori School is looking for teachers who:

What You'll Do

Job duties include:

  • caring for young children through safe and effective care practices
  • implementing Montessori educational principles for toddler education
  • assisting with feeding, meals, and diapering
  • consistent and effective communication with lead teacher and other assistants
  • maintaining a clean learning environment by using safe hand-washing practices and assisting in cleaning eating, play, and sleep areas daily

Schedule:

  • Full-time
  • 8-hour shift with a one-hour paid, off-campus break
  • Monday to Friday, including most federal holidays (exceptions include Labor Day, Memorial Day, and Fourth of July)
  • Overtime available
  • Occasional evening events, such as Parent Education events, job training sessions, etc.
  • 3 full weeks of scheduled paid time off plus some paid holidays [Labor Day, Memorial Day, Thanksgiving (3 days), Fourth of July]
  • One day of Faculty Professional Development each month

Requirements

While experience teaching and/or working in a school is not necessary, we deeply value your interest in investing in young children and their education. We do look for the following as we consider candidates to join our team:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Some experience in early childhood education
  • Ability to function in an active, flexible, and high volume environment
  • Ability to tolerate the year-round outdoor environment through all weather conditions
  • A clean criminal history record
