We operate out of Mess Hall, D.C.’s premier culinary incubator space in Ward 5. This means you will be working alongside top-tier food entrepreneurs, sharpening your skills in a high-tech, massive-scale batch production environment, and cooking with a profound purpose.

The Openings: We are expanding our crew and hiring Culinary Specialists.

• Position 1: Requires a strong Bilingual (English/Spanish) communicator to act as a crucial leadership link on our diverse production floor. Full time Hourly. 4am-12pm M-F.
• Position 2: Open to any driven, food-passionate professional. Full time Hourly. 4am-12pm M-F. Bilingual (English/Spanish) 
• Position 3: Dishwasher at Mess Hall. Bilingual (English/Spanish) 
• Position 4: Driver, preferably own your own van. Various routes from and to Mess Hall. delivery and able to carry heavy weights over 50lbs. Bilingual (English/Spanish) 
• Position 4 and 5: English speaking meal server at School site. Valid Serve Safe. Willing to run and pass background check and any other Montgomery County license and requirement (CJIS/FBI Fingerprinting, National, State & Sex Offender Registry screening,TB Test (for all personnel). French is a plus. Part time job (4 hours per day, Monday - Friday). Follow the School's Holiday schedule.
• Position 6: English speaking meal server and delivery driver. Valid Serve Safe. Willing to run and pass background check and any other Montgomery County license and requirement (CJIS/FBI Fingerprinting, National, State & Sex Offender Registry screening,TB Test (for all personnel). French is a plus. Part time job (4 - 5 hours per day, Monday - Friday). Follow the School's Holiday schedule.

### Key Responsibilities

• High-Volume Scratch Execution: Wash, chop, slice, and precisely measure fresh, high-quality ingredients for dynamic, USDA-compliant established seasonal menus.
• Batch Production Mastery: Learn the science behind massive-scale batch execution and food assembly, ensuring perfect portion control and visual consistency across thousands of plates.
• Allergy-Safe Guardianship: Champion strict safety protocols to keep all meal lines entirely nut-free and allergy-friendly for thousands of local school children.
• Heavy Lifting and Deep Cleaning: Safely lift, move, and stack ingredients or equipment weighing up to 50 lbs, while executing rigorous daily deep-cleaning protocols for all kitchen surfaces, appliances, and walk-in units.
• Bilingual Floor Routing (For Designated Role): Bridge communication gaps on the fly, ensuring production changes are smoothly understood by both English- and Spanish-speaking team members.

### What You Bring to the Team

• The Experience: Prior experience in high-volume catering, hotel kitchens, central commissary hubs, or school cafeterias is fantastic—but a rock-solid work ethic and great coachability matter most.
• The Skills: Sharp knife skills, speed, and the ability to work cleanly under tight production timelines.
• The Language (1 Slot): Fluent bilingual verbal skills (English & Spanish) are required for our bridge-communication opening.
