Job description

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Conduct regular patrols on foot or in a vehicle to observe and monitor assigned areas, looking for safety hazards, suspicious activity, or violations.
  • Act as a visible deterrent to prevent criminal behavior, such as theft, vandalism, or trespassing.
  • Monitor security cameras and alarms to detect and report any unusual or suspicious activity.
  • Respond to alarms, security incidents, and medical emergencies, and take appropriate action, which may include calling the police or other authorities.
  • Control access to buildings or restricted areas, verify identification, and log visitors.
  • Document all activities, incidents, and observations in detailed written reports. Interview witnesses and gather information as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations and maintain order in public or private spaces.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma required.
  • A valid Georgia Driver’s License is required.
  • Experience in guest services, hospitality, safety, or security fields.
  • Basic computer knowledge and operations.
  • Ability to operate two-way radio with proper etiquette.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Work well under possible emergency situations and remain calm.

Physical Requirements:

  • Long hours sometimes required.

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
