Position Overview:
The Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor oversees nursing staff and ensures quality care for residents. This hands-on role involves assigning duties, guiding team performance, and upholding California Safety Code requirements. RNs are expected to lead using facility policies and procedures.
  • Supervise, direct, and evaluate assigned staff members, LVNs, and CNAs.
  • Assign nursing care to team members in accordance with the resident's needs and the team member's specific capabilities and qualifications.
  • Supervises nursing unit/assignment, which includes the assignment of work and directing the nursing staff to the extent permitted by the Nurse Practice Act.
  • Assures that nursing personnel follow established nursing procedures and company policies.
  • Assumes accountability for the performance of tasks by LVNs and CNAs under RN supervision.
  • Assists with or institutes emergency measures for sudden adverse developments in residents.
Qualifications:
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment
  • Valid BLS/CPR upon hire
