Job Requirements
  • Active Registered Nurse license; compact license must be in hand at submission
  • Minimum of 2 years of CVOR nursing experience
  • Strong cardiac scrub experience is required
  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • BLS certification required
  • Experience working with Epic preferred
  • Ability to scrub and circulate cardiac cases and respond to cardiac emergencies
  • Comfort working in a 1:1 patient ratio environment
  • Must be able to float based on skill set if needed
  • Must have a vehicle for this assignment
Responsibilities
  • Assist with cardiovascular surgical procedures in the operating room
  • Serve as scrub and circulator for cardiac cases
  • Support emergent cardiac interventions and respond to cardiac emergencies
  • Maintain sterile technique and ensure safe, efficient OR workflow
  • Prepare instruments, supplies, and equipment for complex cardiovascular procedures
  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and perioperative team members
  • Document care accurately in the Epic charting system
  • Follow protocols for blood product administration, specimen handling, and universal safety procedures
  • Provide high-quality patient care while maintaining professionalism, flexibility, and strong teamwork
