Job description

Looking for more than just another drilling company? Join a team where integrity matters, hard work is expected, and adventure comes with the job.
Position Overview
YKPS is seeking experienced, motivated, and safety-focused Diamond Core Drillers to support mineral exploration projects in some of Alaska's most remote and challenging environments. This is an opportunity to be part of a professional drilling team where quality workmanship, accountability, and a strong work ethic are valued as highly as technical skill. Core Drillers are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of diamond drilling equipment while maintaining high standards of productivity, core recovery, equipment care, and environmental stewardship. This role requires strong technical knowledge, sound judgment, and the ability to troubleshoot problems and adapt to changing ground conditions, weather, and project demands. Successful candidates are dependable leaders who can work independently or as part of a drill crew while maintaining a positive attitude in remote field environments. They take pride in producing high-quality work, following established procedures, and contributing to a culture of safety, professionalism, and teamwork. Candidates should be comfortable working long shifts in rugged terrain and capable of making informed decisions that support both operational success and crew safety. If you're looking for an opportunity to apply your skills, work alongside experienced professionals, and experience the challenge and adventure of exploration drilling in Alaska, we'd like to hear from you.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to adapt to difficult or changing situations
  • Dedicated to job quality, accuracy, and safe work practices
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work without direct supervision
  • Capable of mentoring or assisting less experienced drillers as needed

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain diamond core drilling equipment safely and efficiently
