About Hilton Mechanical

We are a growing mechanical contractor specializing in industrial piping, skid fabrication, and equipment installation. Our team works on a mix of shop-built systems and field projects, giving employees exposure to a variety of hands-on work. We invest in training and always give our employees the opportunity to expand into new areas of the trade.

Overview

Hilton Mechanical is seeking a Mechanical Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates for industrial and commercial piping projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and millwright systems. You will review project plans and specifications, perform material and labor takeoffs, and develop competitive bids that win work and protect margins.

Work will primarily be performed at our office in Alpharetta, GA.

Requirements

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications for industrial and commercial piping, HVAC, plumbing, and millwright scopes
  • Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for materials, labor, and equipment
  • Prepare and submit complete, accurate cost estimates and bid proposals
  • Solicit and evaluate quotes from vendors and subcontractors
  • Collaborate with project managers and field staff to refine scope and pricing
  • Maintain organized records of bids, costs, and historical data

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of estimating experience in mechanical, piping, or commercial/industrial
    construction
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Proficiency with estimation software (takeoff and bidding platforms)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, piping, and millwright systems
  • Strong math, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills
  • Ability to manage multiple bids and meet deadlines
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
