Lead Reconstruction Technician - Restoration (Water | Fire | Mold)
Location:   Greater Tampa Bay Area

Compensation & Earning Potential:
  • Hourly range: $25 - $30  *May be adjusted for candidates with advanced skill sets and leadership experience

Position Summary:
DRYCOR is seeking an experienced Lead RECON Technician to manage and perform reconstruction work on large-scale residential and commercial losses.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing field operations while actively producing work.
 Core Trade Expertise: 
  • Advanced carpentry and structural repairs
  • Drywall systems, interior/exterior painting, flooring installation
  • Kitchen and bathroom reconstruction
  • Working knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems
  • Restoration or insurance-driven construction experience preferred
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and perform demolition, structural repair, and reconstruction
  • Lead crews and subcontractors to meet safety and quality standards
  • Coordinate materials, scheduling, and daily job-site operations
  • Enforce OSHA and company safety protocols
  • Support emergency response and storm deployment
  • Collaborate with Project Managers & client to maintain timelines and client satisfaction
Required Skills & Experience:
  • 5 - 10 years of residential and commercial remodeling experience 
  • Strong understanding of project sequencing, production flow, and multi-site management
  • Ability to read plans and interpret scopes (Xactimate preferred) 
  • Deep knowledge of building codes and construction best practices
  • High attention to detail; finish quality must meet professional standards
  • Restoration experience (water, fire, mold) strongly preferred
  • Strong leadership and job-site organization skills 
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required (trade certifications or IICRC credentials preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, and verbal communication)
  • Reliable transportation and ability to work 40–50+ hours per week
  • Physically able to lift 75–100 lbs, climb ladders up to 40’, and work in confined or elevated spaces
  • Comfortable working in environments impacted by fire, water, mold, or storm damage
