Job description

Bus Operator (Part-Time, 20 Hours/Week)

The City of College Park is seeking a reliable and compassionate Bus Operator for the Seniors Services Division within the Department of Youth, Family, and Seniors Services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely transport senior citizens to shopping destinations, medical appointments, and community events, typically within an 8-mile radius of College Park on weekdays.
  • Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the bus, as well as with packages and groceries as needed.
  • Provide additional program support, including light office duties and assistance with program setup and breakdown.
  • Communicate with citizens and team members in a courteous manner while following all procedures and safety guidelines

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger endorsement.
  • Ability to interact courteously and effectively with senior citizens.
  • Dependability and a strong commitment to safety and customer service.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2 years of experience with an excellent driving record.

Compensation:

Starting hourly rate: $26.82- $27.49, commensurate with experience.
