Job description

Full-time positions available to work under the direct supervision of a physical therapist, to provide patient care and therapy services including assessing, interpreting, planning and implementing specialized physical therapy treatments in accordance with the plan of care determined by the therapist.
Duties include: facilitating and implementing therapy treatments; maintaining evaluation of patient status at appropriate intervals, as directed by supervising therapist; providing accurate, concise and professional documentation in a timely manner; collaborating with patients, caregivers, family members, physicians, other health care professionals, and supervising therapist in planning discharge from services; providing education appropriate to patient's level of understanding regarding evaluation, treatment, and self-responsibility; instructing in home treatment program to facilitate rehabilitation and promoting independence in care, as appropriate; responding to mail, messages, and phone calls in a timely manner.
Applicants must have a cooperative work ethic toward co-workers, management, patients, visitors, and physicians; must be dependable, with the ability to make appropriate decisions, in order to carry out treatment programs and meet the individual needs of the patient; must be able to effectively assess and treat patients with appropriate scheduling and planning; must have exceptional communication and customer service skills, with the ability to maintain effective relationships; must have effective problem solving skills with the ability to follow through; must have strong organizational skills, with the ability to follow instructions, meet deadlines, multi-task and function independently with minimum supervision.
AA or BS from an accredited physical therapy assistant education program required. Must have valid Florida license (or eligible).
*In addition to the base hourly rate, quarterly production bonus included.
Sign-on bonus available.
