Position: Assembler/Machine Operator
Pay: $23/hr with opportunity for OT!
Location: Middletown, DE
Shifts and positions:
Shipping Department
- Days (2-2-3 schedule): 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM
- Nights (Mon–Thurs): 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM
Formation Department
- Days (2-2-3 schedule): 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM
- Nights (Mon–Thurs): 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM
Training: Training will be taken place on first shift for a minimum of 4 weeks.
Primary Duties of the Production Associate:
- Adhere to all safety standards including the wearing of Personal Protective Equipment (safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, respirator).
- Learn how to perform all functions on assigned production machines, including controlling and adjusting machine settings, feed raw materials or parts to semi-automated machines.
- Verify product meets quality standards and keep records of approved and defective units.
- Clean equipment, tools, etc. and surrounding area between jobs to maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Grease and oil machines and perform minor repairs.
- Perform preventive maintenance on machines.
- Prepare daily production, maintain records of production and time reports.
- Operate and service forklifts, hand trucks, and related equipment
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments; record data in ILS system
- Load materials including scrap, empty drums, and interplant shipments
- Supply production lines with required materials and remove scrap/dunnage
- Perform cycle counts and periodic inventories; report shortages and discrepancies
- Follow incoming inspection procedures for materials and escalate issues as needed
- Maintain orderly warehouse and yard storage to maximize space
- Support daily production flow by keeping materials moving efficiently
Qualifications of the Production Associate:
- Ability to stand/walk for long period of time.
- Must be able to pass forklift certification
- Comfortable working 12-hour days as needed.
- Availability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
- Ability to work in a hot environment.
- Ability to physically bend, twist and kneel in a safe and efficient manner.
- Basic computer skills.
- Basic math, reading and writing skills.
- Must be able to wear required PPE.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
