Job Description Who We Are Derby City Pump & Valve Service (DCP) a division of Precision Services Inc. is a busy pump repair and fabrication shop supporting industrial and municipal clients. We're looking for a hands-on Pump Mechanic with strong mechanical aptitude (pipe fitting experience a plus) to join our team and keep our customers' critical equipment running safely and reliably.

About the Position If you are a precise, dependable, process-driven individual, and prefer to master their craft in a stable environment. We're looking for a mechanically minded professional who enjoys hands-on problem-solving, takes pride in craftsmanship, and thrives in a steady, structured environment. This position is ideal for someone who prefers working with their hands, following proven processes, and ensuring equipment is repaired to exact standards.

Key Responsibilities Repair, rebuild, and install a variety of pumps and rotating equipment (components, seals, bearings, shafts, etc.) Read and follow schematics/blueprints to meet product specifications and tolerances. Perform precision measurements and quality checks on finished work. Safely operate hand and power tools, shop equipment, and lifting/rigging gear

Collaborate with team members to maximize productivity and on-time delivery. Maintain clean, organized work areas and care for tools/equipment. Follow all company safety rules, procedures, and quality standards.

Complete basic documentation (work orders, parts used, time, inspection notes). Qualifications Previous experience in industrial equipment repair, mechanics, manual machining, or related trades. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail. Ability to interpret schematics/blueprints and follow standard operating procedures. Comfortable with physical work: lifting, standing, bending, and working around industrial equipment.

Willingness to travel as needed (some fully paid travel with overtime).
