Job Description:

MPS is seeking an Applications Engineering Intern to join our team. This is a full time internship opportunity, ideally for at least 12 weeks. Timeline can be flexible for Fall, Winter, Spring, or Summer.

The qualified Applications Engineer (AE) interns will learn about the company, business, products, technology, and team. The intern will be engaged with the AE team providing technical support and development of analog IC and module products for DC-DC power conversion solutions. Job duties include the simulation and bench evaluation for new products, providing reference designs, debugging customer designs, and writing application notes.

Responsibilities:

  • Research MPS company, power products and technology.

  • Provide application support for customers and Field Application Engineers (FAE).

  • Work with AEs and DEs on new product evaluation and debugs.

  • Write application notes, design notes, and articles.

  • Work in an office, or lab, 3 days per week as coordinated with supervisor.

  • Present project summary and results to senior leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Written and verbal proficiency in English with excellent communication skills.

  • Hands on experience with power electronics hardware implementation and testing.

  • Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout.

  • 3rd year BSEE or 4th year MSEE student.

  • Kirkland, WA

  • Detroit, MI

Pay is based on market location and may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education and other job-related reasons. The hourly pay range for this position in California is $42/hr- $55/hr. The hourly pay range for this position in Washington is $40/hr- $52/hr.
