Position Summary
The Part-Time Caretaker is responsible for performing a variety of custodial, maintenance, and groundskeeping tasks to ensure the community is clean, safe, and operating efficiently for residents and visitors.
Location: Western Row Condominiums, 80 Western Ave N, St Paul, MN 55102
Schedule: Hourly, part-time, Monday - Friday
Wages: $20-25/hr
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a regular cleaning and maintenance schedule for all common areas
  • Perform routine housekeeping tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming common areas
  • Conduct day-to-day maintenance of building interiors and exteriors
  • Maintain grounds upkeep, including landscaping-adjacent tasks and general outdoor tidiness
  • Provide on-call coverage for urgent or after-hours building needs
  • Perform minor repairs (e.g., fixtures, hardware, small mechanical issues) as they arise
  • Inspect the property regularly to identify maintenance issues requiring more significant repair or professional attention, and report these to management/ownership in a timely manner
  • Safely operate the on-site tractor to transport garbage and recycling bins to the designated outdoor pick-up area on scheduled collection days
  • Maintain a log or record of completed tasks, identified issues, and any repairs performed
  • Ensure common areas remain safe, clean, and in good working order on an ongoing basis
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge and Skills
  • Knowledge of general maintenance requirements, (documentation, safety, required reporting,
  • regulations, etc.)
  • Knowledge of State or local governmental safety requirements
  • Knowledge of equipment associated with custodial trades.
  • Interpretation and completion of verbal and/or written instructions at a proficient level.
  • Professional customer service skills.
  • Time management and time critical prioritization skills.
  • Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish fluent)

Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • 0 - 3 years of directly related or closely related experience
