Position Summary:
This position is responsible for the set-up operation, adjustment, teardown, and clean-up of all equipment in the area to include stuffers and any other equipment used in the area. This person must work in a team completing a variety of tasks to include dumping buckets, hanging, and weighing in order to keep production lines running at maximum running efficiency.
Responsibilities:
  • Count, weight, measure, and record statistics of product efficiency.
  • Move up to 900 pounds of product on racks.
  • Push/slide sausage onto table.
  • Slide casings on sausage.
  • Tear down equipment at the end of shift
  • Keep work area clean.
  • May need to use SAP if transferred/rotated.
  • Ability and willingness to perform basic math functions (i.e.: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
  • Ability and willingness to operate a powered hand mule/pallet truck/walkie pallet truck.
  • Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements.
  • Perform all positions of job rotation as needed.
  • Perform any other work as assigned by management.

Physical Requirements: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability and willingness to push/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level minimum of 20 pounds or greater frequently.
  • Ability and willingness to stand/walk/climb/bend for up to 10 hours.
  • Ability and willingness to flex/grip with wrist/hands frequently.
  • Ability and willingness to work in wet and cold temperatures below 35 degrees.
