Job description

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Machine Shop Foreman to oversee daily operations within a precision machining environment. This person will provide hands-on leadership, coordinate workflow, support machinists, and ensure production goals are met while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate daily machine shop operations, workflow, and production priorities.
  • Provide technical support for CNC setups, tooling, troubleshooting, and machining processes.
  • Ensure parts meet quality standards by interpreting blueprints, drawings, and GD&T requirements.
  • Train, mentor, and develop machinists while promoting a positive team environment.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and management to resolve production issues.
  • Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance needs to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of CNC machining or precision manufacturing experience.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience as a Lead Machinist, Shop Lead, Foreman, or Supervisor preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC mills, lathes, machine setups, tooling, and machining processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T.
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment, including micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, high-mix machining environment.
