We're looking for a Senior Accountant who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and enjoys solving complex accounting challenges. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accounting professional who wants to make an impact while partnering with cross-functional teams across the organization.

As a key member of our Lease Accounting, Administration & Analysis team, you'll play an integral role in revenue recognition, financial reporting, technical accounting, and process improvement initiatives. If you're detail-oriented, analytical, and passionate about delivering accurate financial information, we'd love to hear from you.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform the day-to-day accounting for the Lease Accounting, Administration & Analysis function, including but not limited to:
    • Accounting for revenue recognition of new and amended leases.
    • Proactively assist with monitoring many active leases.
    • Perform technical accounting research related to complex leases and lease terminations.
    • Assist with technical accounting research and preparation of above- and below-market lease calculations for acquired leases.
    • Track lease deliveries for GAAP rent recognition.
    • Prepare rental revenue assumptions for annual budgets.
    • Prepare monthly straight-line rental revenue reconciliations and fluctuation analyses.
    • Prepare tenant recovery and rental revenue fluctuation analyses.
    • Reconcile general ledger accounts to subledgers and supporting schedules.
  • Partner across Accounting and Asset Services teams to provide accounting and financial analysis support, including:
    • Assist with lease abstracts related to operating expense recoveries.
    • Support the year-end CAM reconciliation process.
    • Resolve lease-related accounting inquiries and provide guidance to internal stakeholders.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly Accounting Reporting packages for executive management review.
  • Contribute to the preparation of SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q and 10-K, as well as quarterly supplemental reporting.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
  • Support internal and external audit requests.
  • Contribute to departmental goals, strategic initiatives, and special projects.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • CPA designation preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience required.
  • Strong technical accounting skills required.
  • Public accounting experience highly preferred.
  • Experience with lease accounting and/or commercial real estate highly preferred.
  • Technical accounting research skills are a plus.
  • Proficiency in U.S. GAAP and technical accounting.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Yardi accounting software experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across multiple teams.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
