Job description

TITLE: 1st shift Receiving Clerk
PLANT / SECTION Receiving
SALARY GRADE - Hourly
BASIC FUNCTION
Assist in Controlling the Communication and Documentation for the flow of material from the Plant to the Customer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  1. Review, verify and assist in fixing daily supplier stock receipts in Plex and and SAP
  2. Coordinate and set up supplier return goods and supplier expedites
  3. Maintain premium authorization, supplier returnable, consignment records
  4. Record and track receiving discrepancy activity
  5. Review, enter, verify general receipts in Plex and SAP
  6. Review and enter transportation receipts and invoice
  7. Maintain transportation record and update designated online tracking
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Process all paperwork for incoming and outgoing Customer and small package shipments
Maintain Shipping Files for Company wide availability
Communicate all Customer Shipment Information/Requests to required Departments
Ensure accurate and timely Customer Specific Shipping Requirements are met (including e-mail, websites, fax, Bills)
Reporting Relationships:
Shipping/Receiving Supervisor
Material Control Section Manager
Minimum Qualifications:
Plex knowledge
Basic Excel
Detail oriented and strong organization skills
Knowledge of Warehousing and Logistics
Skills:
Strong verbal, written communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
Ability to meet deadlines and complete accurate detail oriented work without interruptions.
Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Good keyboarding skills, proficient in spreadsheet applications.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the associate is regularly required to sit for extended periods while working on computer keyboard. The position is frequently required to stand, use hands and fingers to handle.
The position must occasionally lift up to 30 pounds and have specific vision abilities While performing the job the position is occasionally exposed to moving or mechanical equipment and moderate noise levels related to working in a factory environment.
The position may be overtime (unplanned and unscheduled) to meet deadlines and requirements.
