Job Title: Automotive Technician
Location: Charlie’s CDJR (Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram)
Department: Service
Reports To: Service Manager


Position Summary

Charlie’s CDJR is seeking a skilled and dependable Automotive Technician to join our service team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles, with a focus on Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram models. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, efficient, and committed to delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance services (oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, etc.)
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and performance issues using advanced diagnostic tools
  • Complete repairs accurately and efficiently according to manufacturer standards
  • Conduct multi-point inspections and identify additional service needs
  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation of all work performed
  • Communicate effectively with service advisors regarding vehicle status and repair recommendations
  • Stay up to date with manufacturer training and certifications
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Follow all dealership and manufacturer safety procedures

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical school training preferred)
  • ASE certification(s) strongly preferred
  • Previous experience as an automotive technician (dealership experience a plus)
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with automotive tools and equipment
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Skills
  • Experience with CDJR vehicles and systems
  • Familiarity with dealership service software
  • Strong attention to detail and time management
  • Positive attitude and commitment to continuous improvement

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Perform repetitive motions and work in various positions (bending, kneeling, reaching)
