Automotive Line Technician Job Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of vehicles
• Accurately document findings, repairs, and recommendations
• Complete work efficiently while meeting quality and safety standards
• Collaborate with service advisors to ensure accurate repair descriptions
• Follow manufacturer guidelines and dealership procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Participate in ongoing training and skill development

Automotive Line Technician Compensation and Benefits

This MidLevel Line Technician position is paid on a pay scale that may include one or more of the following elements:

• Hourly pay, which varies based on experience, certifications, and performance, range $33.80 - $60.00
• Productionbased incentive compensation, which may be tied to individual and/or team productivity benchmarks
• Retentionbased incentive compensation, which may be earned based on hours produced

Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as hours worked, productivity, performance metrics, and overall business conditions. Incentive and bonus compensation are not guaranteed and may be zero if applicable performance standards are not met.

Automotive Line Technician Qualifications

• Midlevel automotive technician experience required
• Ability to perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance independently
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• ASE certifications preferred, but not required
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
• Ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced, highvolume shop environment

Corporate Hiring Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age and able to pass a background check and drug screening.
