Job description

Hourly pay range: $48.51 min. - $76.93 max


This position is responsible for the provision of women's health educational services provided as part of the Perinatal Services program: CPSP, sweet success and birth and beyond .

 

*Ability to meet all job & physical requirements as outlined in job description or as agreed through a work place accommodation.


EDUCATION/TRAINING/ EXPERIENCE: 

1.      Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse (RN) program required.

2.      Typing and computer skills required.

3.      BSN or health related bachelors degree preferred, MSN desirable

4.      One year of nursing experience in obstetrics or labor and delivery preferred.

5.      One year of experience in gestational diabetes education preferred.

6.      One year of experience in lactation education preferred

7.      Ability to read, write and speak the Spanish language preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:

1.      Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.

2.      Current BLS certification required.

3.      Current childbirth educator certificate preferred.

4.      Current Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) certification preferred.

5.      Current International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) certification required
