Job description

Description: 

Classic Air is looking for an HVAC Commercial Service Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heating, ventilation, and HVAC systems for commercial customers. This position requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. Candidates must be willing to work overtime as needed to support customer and business needs and participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours service and emergency support.

 What You’ll Do: 

  • Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including diagnosing electronic, mechanical, and electrical components 
  • Travel to job sites within the service area and coordinate with dispatch to maintain schedules and communicate delays 
  • Provide emergency service during nights and weekends on a rotating basis 
  • Maintain company vehicle, including cleanliness, fueling, inspections, and reporting mechanical issues 
  • Keep vehicle stocked with necessary tools, parts, and safety equipment 
  • Track and submit mileage logs and required documentation 
  • Generate invoices on-site, process payments, and obtain customer signatures and accurate contact information 
  • Document installed equipment (make, model, serial number, fuel type, test measurements, photos) 
  • Diagnose system issues, perform repairs, calibrate systems to manufacturer standards, and clearly explain solutions to customers 
  • Participate in ongoing training on new technologies and industry best practices 
  • Identify opportunities for additional services, upgrades, or service contracts

  • Physically able to work on HVAC units
  • Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and carrying ladders
  • Will be required to work in settings with extreme cold or extreme heat, depending on time of year
  • Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, crawling, or climbing ladders
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time
