We are currently seeking a Journeyman E&I work in our Millersburg, Oregon facility. Our Journeyman E&I's are part of a highly skilled team that are critical in supporting production, maintenance and ensuring equipment is operational in order to consistently meet production goals and our customers' needs.
This is a rotational 12 hr 4x4 shift with overtime available. Relocation assistance will be available to the ideal candidate.
There will be plenty of day-to-day work variety in this position. You will be responsible for performing calibrations on meters, gauges, controllers and sensors and all required operations of maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment, machines, accessories and auxiliaries and ancillary equipment in all manufacturing areas.
Your primary responsibility will be to troubleshoot all types of electrical equipment, calibrations on meters, gauges, controllers and sensors test, repair, and maintain all electrically powered or controlled electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components. You will also work on equipment which may include PLCs, AC/DC motors and generators, SCR's, VFD's, transformers, circuit breakers, rectifiers, electronic controls, control panels, starters, switches, lighting equipment, power distribution and control circuits, conduits, and fittings.
A successful Journeyman E&I will be a self-starter and be self-motivated. This role is instrumental in providing calibrations, maintenance, repair, and support to each department so they can meet production goals, objectives and customer expectations. To accomplish this, you'll work collaboratively with Operations and all departments across the plant, to provide expertise on a variety of work orders.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Read electrical and instrumentation schematics, relay, PLC ladder logic diagrams to troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, and controls; ability to read and understand relay, ladder logic, and schematic diagrams.
  • Possess good computer skills and knowledge of networking principles in order to communicate with equipment controllers.
  • Follow written instructions to perform preventive and predictive maintenance tasks. Working knowledge of safe electrical work practices, including requirements of NFPA 70E.
  • Use various test equipment and hand tools including, but not limited to, electrical test instruments, computers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, high voltage test equipment, power hand tools, soldering equipment pipe threading machine, , pipe benders, safety equipment, and miscellaneous hand tools.
  • Work on equipment which may include PLCs, AC and DC motors and generators, SCR's, VFD's, transformers, circuit breakers, rectifiers, electronic controls, control panels, starters, switches, lighting equipment, power distribution and control circuits, conduits, and fittings.
  • Ability to wear a respirator, climb ladders, and lift 50 pounds.

Requirements
Basic Qualifications
  • A minimum of 4 years of journeyman E&I experience in industrial manufacturing, and/or processing industries.
  • Must be able to pass a full and half-face respirator fit test and work in an environment with hazardous chemicals while wearing a respirator.
  • Requires one of the following Electrical Licenses:
    • General Journeyman (J)
    • Limited Supervising Electrician (PS)
    • Limited Journeyman Manufactured Plant (PJ)
    • General Supervising Electrician (S)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience with computerized maintenance management systems; knowledge of National Electrical Codes; knowledge of electronics, vacuum technology, hydraulics, mechanics, and pneumatics .

Hourly pay rate: $50.95 Hour
