Education/Degree: High School Diploma or equivalent
Job Goal: The bus/van special education aide will assist the bus driver with maintaining safe
and comfortable transportation for assigned students to and from designated stops.
General Qualifications:
* Favorable BCI/FBI background checks
* Complies with drug free workplace rules and board policies
* Excellent communication and organizational skills
* Demonstrates aptitude and knowledge of the position's demands
* Willingness to obtain Educational Aide license
Job Specific Qualifications Description:
* Desire and dedication to work with students with disabilities.
* Must be personable and able to communicate well with driver and students
* Willingness to assist the driver to ensure safety of students
* Must be able to assist the driver in operation of wheelchair lift
