Hourly drayage drivers can potentially earn $200,000 annually, especially with overtime, high-volume freight, or specialized equipment. Most drivers earn less, with salaries varying based on location, employer, and workload.

What is a drayage driver?

A drayage driver is a professional who transports freight over short distances, typically between ports, rail yards, and warehouses. They often operate tractor-trailers and need knowledge of logistics, safety regulations, and local routes to efficiently move containers and cargo within a limited area.

What company in Texas is paying truckers $14000 a week?

Hourly drayage drivers can earn high weekly pay through overtime, bonuses, and efficient route management, but earning $14,000 a week is uncommon and typically associated with specialized or owner-operator roles with significant experience. Most standard trucking jobs offer lower weekly earnings, and such high pay may involve additional factors like contract work or freight incentives.
