Boston Scientific is seeking a highly motivated R&D Software Engineer II. The successful candidate will participate in the design and development of medical device software. Be a part of Boston Scientific's ICTx R&D team that develops innovative products that sustain and improve the lives of patients around the world. You will use your technical and collaboration skills alongside your passion for innovation and continuous improvement to drive growth through efficient and effective development of new products.


Your responsibilities include:

  • Designs, develops, debugs, modifies, and tests software applications using C#/C++ and Object-Oriented Analysis and Design Methodologies.

  • Documents software development by writing documents, reports, memos and change requests. Methods used are determined by approved procedures and standards.

  • Tracks software development effort by creating and maintaining records in the approved software version control system.

  • Solves engineering problems by analyzing the situation and recommending corrective or alternative actions.

  • Participates in design and code reviews.

  • Creates or assists in creating specifications and qualifications required by the FDA.

  • Continuously improves process and work methodologies by interfacing with peers/cross-functional groups and analyzing activities to improve workflow and work processes.


Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering

  • Must graduate by December 2026

  • Prior Boston Scientific R&D Engineering internship experience

  • 0-2 Years of relevant work experience in CSCI field

  • Experience in Object-Oriented Programming and Windows Application Development

  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience developing in C# and developing WPF Applications

  • Experience with developing software within the medical device industry

  • Experience with unit and integration testing

  • Experience working in an agile environment
