Job Description
ROLE: Coordinator, Programming Operation
The Coordinator, Programming Operations works as part of the A&E, History, and Lifetime Scheduling, Acquisition and Strategy team. This role combines operational and administrative responsibilities. The position will work closely with the Director of Programming Operations to optimize programming processes and to refine the accuracy and integrity of critical program metadata. Additionally, the position includes coordinating cross-functional communications as well as providing direct administrative support to the EVP department head through calendar management, meeting coordination, travel arrangements, and expense reporting. • Work closely with the Director of Programming Operations to manage the lifecycle of our content, ensuring all metadata is accurate and consistent from inception through each program's launch across downstream linear and digital platforms globally.
  • Support EVP Department Head by managing calendars, scheduling meetings, coordinating travel arrangements, and processing expenses as needed.
  • Program scheduling responsibilities as needed including entering linear schedule into What's On (internal scheduling software), creating air schedules, revisions, formats, piece number creation, etc.
  • Ad-hoc projects including building presentations as needed
  • Build and improve processes to utilize technology and AI to improve key departmental workflows.
  • The Coordinator should be collaborative and have a willingness to contribute to new programming strategies on linear and non-linear platforms.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN:
The Coordinator is required to have a high attention to detail. You'll have the opportunity to innovate and learn. You'll use both analytics and creativity in this role. You'll be asked for new ideas to help infuse the schedule with strength and to learn what drives the A&E and Lifetime audience. Finally, you'll be exposed to various A+E departments and stakeholders to learn the goals, needs and direction so you can become a trusted partner.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS: Coordinator, Programming Operation
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, film, television or related field
  • Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Must be comfortable working independently with large datasets and complex operational systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong communication & organizational skills
