Role Overview The Dental Hygienist is a clinical leader responsible for delivering exceptional hygiene care, diagnosing periodontal conditions, educating patients, and supporting overall practice production. Through our Assisted Hygiene model, you will work alongside a trained dental assistant who helps with room turnover, radiographs, perio charting support, and patient flow — allowing you to focus on diagnosis, treatment, and patient education.

Responsibilities Clinical Excellence • Perform prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, and periodontal maintenance • Conduct thorough periodontal charting and evaluations • Diagnose and co-diagnose periodontal disease • Administer local anesthesia (per PA regulations) • Maintain accurate documentation in Dentrix • Follow strict infection control protocols Assisted Hygiene Workflow • Work in a structured assisted hygiene environment • Assistant supports room setup and turnover • Assistant assists with radiographs and preliminary charting • Maintain strong communication with assistant to ensure smooth patient flow • Focus on high-level diagnosis, treatment, and patient education Patient Education & Case Growth • Educate patients on oral-systemic health connections • Clearly explain periodontal findings and treatment needs • Reinforce doctor recommendations • Support case acceptance and retention Team Collaboration • Attend daily huddles • Communicate effectively with doctors and assistants • Contribute to practice growth initiatives • Help create a positive and accountable culture
