Job description

Job Summary:
Children's Network of Hillsborough is committed to working with the community to protect children and preserve families. This Data Management Supervisor is responsible for overseeing data management functions, including the coordination and supervision of data management specialists, ensuring data accuracy, and maintaining effective communication with case management organizations.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the oversight and daily operation and coordination of Children’s Network of Hillsborough functions.
• Directly supervises the Data Management Specialists in accordance with organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include: interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; and rewarding and disciplining employees.
• Ensures calls/emails are answered promptly and operators create tickets, obtaining required information on the children’s placements.
• Responsible for coordinating the workload/training of data services staff.
• Communicates information to case management organizations through agency directors and other staff as appropriate to correct inefficiencies of data provision between case managers and Children’s Network of Hillsborough staff.
• Manages the workload of Data Management Specialists to ensure workflow is steady and backlog is prevented.
• Responsible for the accuracy of validation of payments.
• Ensures accuracy of data entry and integrity with FSFN related requirements.
• Participate in training and development activities as required.
• Report any acts, incidents or conditions that reflect the possibility of inappropriate youth-to-youth or staff-to-youth relationships.
• Report any use of physical force and all unusual incidents per Children’s Network of Hillsborough policy and state guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to oversee and manage data services.
• Experience in supervising staff, including interviewing, hiring, and training employees.
• Ability to plan, assign, and direct work of Data Management Specialists.
• Experience in appraising performance and managing employee discipline.
• Ability to ensure prompt response to calls/emails and create tickets for children's placements.
• Experience in coordinating workload and training of data services staff.
• Ability to communicate effectively with case management organizations.
• Experience in managing workload to ensure steady workflow and prevent backlog.
• Ability to ensure accuracy of validation of payments.
• Experience in ensuring accuracy of data entry and integrity with FSFN related requirements.
• Willingness to participate in training and development activities as required.
• Ability to report incidents reflecting inappropriate relationships or use of physical force.
• Ability to perform other duties as assigned.
• Availability to work standard business hours and outside of these hours as needed.
• Willingness to travel within and outside of Hillsborough County as required.
• Completion of fifteen (15) hours of training annually.
