Job Title: Operator 3  

Classification: Hourly 

Reports To: Shift Supervisor  

Department: Mailer Production    

Shifts Available 6AM-6PM & 6AM-6PM 2-2-3          

 Offering up to 5,000 Sign on Bonus!!!!!!!   

 

      

 

Summary of Job

Under the direction of Dept Supervisor oversees hourly employees under their command to ensure the production of the highest quality products at the lowest possible cost, while meeting company standards for quality and performance, customer specifications and delivery requirements, in accordance with EverTec policies and procedures.

 

 

Overview: Must have the technical ability to operate all types of converting line and finishing equipment within Pregis standards for waste, quality and productivity as it relates to the EAM product line.  Understands and adheres to all Standard Operating Procedures. Set up and operate all special functions and capabilities with minimal supervision or direction. Train other employees when requested or required to do so. Analyze issues, determine, and implement solutions.  Provide innovative / creative solutions for opportunities and improvements.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Consistently demonstrates leadership qualities. Uses leadership skills to direct crews in the efficient operation of the company’s production equipment.
  • Reads and understand all information on job ticket pertaining to a specific job.  Ensure that all necessary components to produce the job are present. Does not move forward on any job with conflicting information.
  • Fully understands how to achieve print quality, die cutting equipment register, to produce a product that consistently matches established quality parameters.
  • Can achieve acceptable registration within specified M/R standards.
  • Has complete understanding and ability to operate all line ancillary equipment.
  • Ability to effectively set up and operate all inline equipment (i.e., gluing, labeling, die units etc.) Understands how to properly shim dies and perf plates as required when required
  • Effectively set up fan fold units from one size to the next to required specs with minimal supervision
  •  Capable of installing Flexo plates and setting Flexo print cylinders for optimal print and manufacturing life.
  •  Has the ability to perform minor mechanical repairs and adjustments.
  • Strives to maintain 100% of standard KPI for productivity, waste, and quality standards.
  • Accurately enters all codes for quantities, materials, and times onto required paperwork.
  • Understands and demonstrates ability to accurately track line counts.
  • Performs necessary functions to operate the line with minimal supervision. Establishes and promotes an environment for learning and process improvement.
  • Consistently looks for ways to improve processes and efficiencies to reduce waste and increase production within quality standards set.
  • Works within all safety guidelines and procedures. Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
  • Ensure the maintenance of departmental housekeeping standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and work rules and regulations.
  • Interacts well between shifts to gain and pass along all information to facilitate a smooth transition without interruption.

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Pregis’s total compensation package. The hourly base pay range for this role is estimated to be $26-$32.
