Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer / Cloud Data Architect to support a major enterprise data modernization initiative. This role will focus on architecting, building, and optimizing a modern cloud-native Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) environment from the ground up.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in enterprise data engineering, advanced SQL development, cloud-native architectures, ETL/ELT frameworks, API integrations, and large-scale enterprise data transformations.

This is a highly technical, hands-on role supporting complex enterprise analytics, ingestion, and cloud data platform initiatives.

Essential Duties:

· Architect enterprise-scale cloud-native data warehouse solution.

· Design scalable ETL/ELT pipelines across enterprise platforms.

· Develop advanced SQL transformations and enterprise data models.

· Lead API-based enterprise data ingestion initiatives.

· Support synchronization across ERP, CRM, analytics, and operational systems.

· Optimize cloud platform scalability, reliability, and performance.

· Troubleshoot complex enterprise data issues and perform root cause analysis.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.

· 7+ years of Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or Enterprise Analytics experience.

· Extensive experience building Enterprise Data Warehouses (EDW) from the ground up.

· Strong experience working within cloud-native enterprise environments.

· Experience supporting enterprise modernization and cloud migration initiatives preferred.

· Industry experience within healthcare, financial services, or insurance environments preferred.

Skills and Job-Specific Competencies:

  • Expert-level SQL development, including complex queries, CTEs, window functions, stored procedures, and query optimization.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Google Big Query, Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric.
  • Experience with API integrations and enterprise data ingestion frameworks.
  • Experience with enterprise ETL/ELT tools and cloud data pipelines.
  • Knowledge of cloud-native data platforms and EDW architecture.
  • Experience with data lakes, Lakehouse concepts, and enterprise data modeling.
  • Familiarity with Star and Snowflake schema design.
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF), Power BI, Tableau, or Looker preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills.

Salary Range: SolomonEdwards values your unique and individual experience and background. As such, we take a comprehensive approach when determining compensation for our roles. The compensation for this specific role is based on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to education, licensure and certifications, location, experience, and training. A reasonable estimate for the current hourly range for this role is $95 - 110.
