Our client is a dynamic workplace solutions provider, specializing in innovative interior environments. The company supports diverse clients with tailored design services. They are known for their collaborative culture and commitment to professional development and are currently looking to add an Associate Designer (Interior Design) to their team.
Salary/Hourly Rate
$85k - $92k
Position Overview
The Associate Designer (Interior Design) will support Senior Designers in planning, designing, and furnishing interior spaces. They will assist in creating layouts that are practical, aesthetic, and aligned with client needs. The Associate Designer (Interior Design) will collaborate with clients and Project teams to deliver high-quality design solutions.
Responsibilities Of The Associate Designer (Interior Design)
  • Develop design plans compliant with ADA and health/safety codes.
  • Use CAD and related software to produce construction documents.
  • Research materials, technologies, and products for sustainable design.
  • Advise clients on space planning, layout, furnishings, and color coordination.
  • Coordinate with contractors, architects, and engineers for project success.
  • Inspect construction sites to ensure adherence to design plans.
  • Estimate material requirements and costs for client approval.
  • Render design ideas through drawings and presentations.
  • Maintain inventories of materials and products.
  • Incorporate environmentally friendly features into designs.
Required Experience/Skills For The Associate Designer (Interior Design)
  • 3 - 5+ years of Interior Design, Architecture, or furniture industry experience.
  • Portfolio with demonstrated work or similar
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good decision-making ability and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter with a can-do attitude.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in CET Designer.
  • Proficient in CAP 20/20.
Preferred Experience/Skills For The Associate Designer (Interior Design)
  • Exposure to sustainable and green design practices.
  • Exposure to Canva, Miro, and AI is a plus.
  • MillerKnoll (Herman Miller and Knoll) product knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Familiarity with shop drawings and construction documentation.
  • Ability to research and implement new materials and technologies.
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a related field is required.
