Job description

These roles provide essential assistance to healthcare professionals in delivering patient care. Ensure the smooth functioning of clinical operations by handling tasks that support the diagnostic, therapeutic, and procedural aspects of patient care. Allied Health - Health Services professionals work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of medical services.

These roles are responsible for optimizing the use of hospital resources, including bed allocation, patient flow, and coordination of admissions and discharges. Capacity management staff ensure that hospital operations run smoothly and that patients are placed in appropriate care settings to meet their needs efficiently.

Individual contributors with responsibility in a clinical discipline or specialty. Typically involves diagnosing, treating, and caring for patients, and often include face-to-face interactions with patients. May also spend some time designing and implementing clinical programs, policies, and services using specialized knowledge and skills. Specialty license or certification required which is acquired through advanced education, training and/or experience. This career stream will be most commonly applied to patient care and/or scientific/laboratory technologist jobs. ​

Requires basic knowledge of job procedures and tools obtained through work experience and require vocational or technical education.​ Works under moderate supervision. Problems are typically of a routine nature but may at times require interpretation or deviation from standard procedures. ​ Communicates information that requires some explanation or interpretation​.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Bachelor’s of Science in. Nursing Degree is preferred required within 5 years of hire date for all new hires.

Experience: 3 years relevant experience.

Licensure: Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of. Virginia required. Valid Virginia Driver’s License (VADL) may be required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.

The pay range for this role is $41.26 - $54.52 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
