Job description

POSITION TITLE: Senior Outside Sales Specialist
 
JOB DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
 
·        Conduct new customer prospecting.
·        Establish and cultivate effective business partnerships with customer decision makers and support staff.
·        Develop a sales strategy with your portfolio of customers to achieve organizational sales goals, including: assortment planning, new item introductions, promotions, and sales events targeted primarily on cordless tools, new generation of current best sellers and other products in our portfolio.
·        Develop a regular routine of customer communication, interaction and follow-up.
·        Actively participate in sales presentations and brand building opportunities within your customer organizations.
·        Conduct market research to understand and react to market trends.
·        Attend Trade Meetings, Industry Conventions to drive brands and develop customer relationships.
·        Analyze sales performance data and develop action plans to address sales opportunities.
·        Receive inbound customer calls to assist with product inquiries, sales orders and problem resolution.
·        Perform other duties that may be required from time to time.
 
REPORTS TO:
·        President
 
REQUIRED SKILLS:
·        Fluency in English is required.
·        Excellent, persuasive, verbal and written communication skills. Strong presentation skills.
·        Demonstrated negotiation skills.
·        Ability to interact professionally with executive level personnel within you customer portfolio.
·        Excellent organizational skills, with a strong attention to detail.
·        Excellent computer skills, especially proficient in MS Office Word and Excel. 
·        Ability to multi-task and prioritize work activities to achieve desired goals.  
·        Ability to work under pressure, changing priorities and demands.
·        Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
·        Quick to learn in ambiguous circumstances.
·        Ability to travel approximately 30%-40% of the time.
 
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
·         1-2 years of experience selling to the hardware/tool retail customer with Pnuematic Tools,  Water Pumps or Compressors.
·         High School Diploma or equivalent.
 
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
·         2-3 years of experience selling to the hardware/tool retail customer.
·         Bachelor’s Degree in related field of study.
