Anesthesiology Nurse Practitioner – Clifton Springs, NY

What You'll Do

  • Conduct pre-operative evaluations and optimize patient health for upcoming surgeries
  • Review patient history, physicals, and relevant medical data
  • Utilize existing protocols for patient assessment and care coordination
  • Make appropriate referrals and liaise with surgical and anesthesia teams
  • Manage outpatient pre-anesthesia visits for various specialties, including orthopedics, general surgery, and urology
  • Document assessments in electronic medical records
  • Ensure compliance with facility protocols and standards

What You Need

  • NY State License in Hand
  • Active BLS certification
  • Epic Electronic Health Record Experience
  • Board Certification in Nurse Practitioners
  • Prior APP experience in pre-anesthesia or perioperative care
  • Excellent organizational and patient assessment skills
Preferred:
  • Experience working with ambulatory outpatient settings
  • Strong communication skills and team collaboration

About the Assignment This outpatient-focused role involves pre-operative evaluation and patient optimization within a busy surgical practice. You will work closely with surgical and anesthesia teams to review medical histories, perform assessments, and facilitate smooth patient care transitions without procedural responsibilities.
