WE LOVE OUR WORK.
  • Cleans and services the guest rooms in a timely and organized manner according to hotel standards. Self-inspects and double-checks!
  • Notifies supervisor or Guest Reception Desk as appropriate when service is complete so that rooms may be sold and occupied.
  • Reports any rooms unable to be serviced within established time standards to supervisor.
  • Reports needs repairs, non-functioning or missing equipment or room items to supervisor or others as instructed by departmental standards.
  • Maintains linen carts and/or closets in a neat, clean and orderly manner in accordance with departmental standards. Maintains Par Levels of supplies in assigned area; reports needs to supervisor before critical shortages occur.
  • Maintains security of equipment, keys and supplies at all time.
  • Reports lost and found items immediately to Manager.
  • Maintains a productivity level not to exceed 30 minutes per room serviced.
  • Follows any procedures for team cleaning or self-inspection programs in place.
  • Responds quickly and courteously to guest requests.
  • Follows all company/department policies and procedures, Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Thoroughly familiar with all related HAZCOM information and Emergency Procedures; MSDS for any chemicals in use, Blood Borne Pathogen prevention and response. Follows all Safety handling procedures.
  • Presents a professional image at all times through appearance and behavior.
  • Actively participates in all hotel meetings, training, task forces, programs, etc.
  • Protect and preserve assets of the HCCTR

  • Ability to follow verbal directions and organize the work day as required
  • Must qualify for licensing with the West Virginia Racing Commission.
  • Must be able to express hospitality, either in verbal or through expression to guests and fellow employees
  • Since cleaning is the major responsibility of this position, Room Attendants spend a significant portion of their workday involved in the following: stooping, squatting, walking, unlocking, opening, pushing, pulling, lifting, bending and stretching.
  • The vast majority of the time is spent moving about the property in order to clean guest rooms, and this is usually accomplished by walking.
  • Communication skills are necessary some of the time in order to interact with hotel guests or staff.
  • In addition to operating a vacuum cleaner, Room Attendants typically lift and pull items weighing as much as 25 pounds and pull/ push up to 200 pounds.
  • Room Attendants will have the opportunity to used problem-solving abilities in a limited capacity.
  • Able to see and recognize safety and security hazards and concerns and report or correct them.
  • The person in this position has some opportunities to utilize problem-solving abilities.
  • The noise level in the work environment can vary from quiet to somewhat noisy.
