Job Summary:

The property maintenance technician handles general upkeep and repairs for the hotel, store, and housing units. As part of the maintenance team, this role covers tasks such as troubleshooting electrical motors up to 220 volts, plumbing, HVAC/refrigeration, carpentry, and painting.

Responsibilities
  • Support Xanterra's Mission Statement and Core Values while providing exceptional guest service.
  • Perform preventive and corrective property maintenance, including pool, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, carpentry, painting, and other facility repairs.
  • Respond to work orders, troubleshoot issues, operate equipment safely, and report maintenance or safety concerns as needed.
  • Conduct routine inspections and ensure all work complies with applicable codes, regulations, and maintenance standards.
  • Operate tools, equipment, and designated heavy machinery safely; perform Lockout/Tagout procedures and maintain required certifications, including county pool maintenance licensing.
  • Follow all company, safety, risk management, environmental, and PPE requirements; work varied shifts and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Must possess a valid/clear Arizona Driver's License, and be able to comply with the Xanterra Tusayan, LLC Company Vehicle Policy.
  • Must be willing and able to acquire CPO Certification within 30 days of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in property maintenance, or in trades such as HVAC, electrical, refrigeration, plumbing, etc.
  • Competent in all areas of the General Maintenance III position

Physical Requirements include:

Constantly: Stand, walk, and work in inclement weather conditions

Frequently: Lift/carry up to 20 lbs.

Occasionally: Sit, handle, reach outward & above shoulder, climb, crawl, squat/kneel, bend, lift/carry up to 100 lbs, and push/pull up to 100 lbs.
