Job description

Come Join the Waterford Hotel Group Team! Waterford Hotel Group is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Construction & Renovation Project Manager to support renovation, construction, and capital improvement initiatives across our growing hotel portfolio. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Construction, Engineering & Tech Services and plays a key role in overseeing hotel renovations, PIPs, new builds, capital projects, and development support initiatives. The Senior Construction & Renovation Project Manager will work closely with property leadership, vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with company standards and brand expectations. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to successfully manage multiple projects in a fast-paced hospitality environment. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing hospitality management company that values collaboration, innovation, and operational excellence.

Position Responsibilities Include:
  • Identify capital expenditure needs and develop project scopes, budget estimates, timelines, and contractor requirements for assigned projects.
  • Oversee hotel renovations, PIPs, new builds, and capital improvement projects across the Waterford Hotel Group portfolio.
  • Conduct property visits to assess existing conditions, inspect project progress, and validate completed work against company standards.
  • Monitor project schedules, risks, and budgets while proactively recommending solutions to maintain timelines and financial targets.
  • Review project drawings and plans to ensure compliance with applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and targeted completion dates.
  • Coordinate the bidding process, identify qualified General Contractors, and assist with contract negotiation and approvals.
  • Maintain regular communication and coordination between property leadership, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to minimize operational disruptions and project delays.
  • Support emergency response efforts related to facilities, safety, and operational continuity when needed.
  • Assist with due diligence efforts related to acquisitions, redevelopment opportunities, and portfolio growth initiatives.
  • Partner with internal departments and leadership teams to support strategic capital planning and project execution.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in construction, facilities, or project management required; hospitality experience strongly preferred.
  • HCAI experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience performing on-site assessments, developing budgets, and managing project cost controls.
  • Experience developing scopes of work, preparing Requests for Proposals (RFPs), selecting vendors, and managing project execution.
  • Proven ability to manage contractors and vendors while ensuring quality standards and invoice accuracy.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across multiple departments.
  • Frequent travel by car and/or plane is required.
