Position Summary


The Hotel Sales Lead is responsible for driving sales growth at Candlewood Suites Schertz by generating Local Negotiated Rate (LNR) accounts, securing group business, and developing strong relationships within the local business community. This position is focused on proactive sales efforts, lead generation, account management, and maximizing hotel occupancy and revenue while delivering exceptional customer service.


Key Responsibilities


Local Negotiated Rate (LNR) Sales:

  • Prospect, solicit, and secure new Local Negotiated Rate (LNR) accounts within the assigned market.
  • Develop relationships with corporate travel managers, government agencies, healthcare facilities, construction companies, and local businesses.
  • Conduct outside sales calls, networking events, and client visits to generate new business.
  • Prepare and negotiate corporate rate agreements.
  • Maintain and grow existing LNR accounts through regular communication and account reviews.
  • Track account production and identify opportunities for increased room night production.

Group Sales:

  • Respond promptly to all group sales inquiries and requests for proposals (RFPs).
  • Prospect for new group opportunities including sports teams, government, military, weddings, reunions, training groups, and business meetings.
  • Prepare proposals, contracts, and group room blocks.
  • Coordinate with hotel operations to ensure successful execution of group events.
  • Conduct hotel tours and client presentations.

Qualifications


  • Minimum of 2 years of hotel guest service or sales experience preferred.
  • Experience with Local Negotiated Rate (LNR) sales and group sales preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of extended-stay hotel operations is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel property management or CRM systems.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for local sales calls.
  • Proficiency in hotel property management systems (e.g., Hotel Key)
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to service excellence
