POSITION SUMMARY

The Ghoman Group is seeking an experienced and results-driven Area General Manager to oversee hotel operations, performance, and management across assigned properties. The ideal candidate will provide strong leadership to hotel General Managers and department heads while driving profitability, guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, and brand standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee daily operations and performance of assigned hotel properties.

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to General Managers and department heads.

  • Monitor hotel financial performance, including revenue, payroll, expenses, and profitability.

  • Develop strategies to improve occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, guest satisfaction, and overall hotel performance.

  • Review P&L statements, budgets, forecasts, labor costs, and operational reports.

  • Work with Sales and Revenue Management teams to maximize revenue opportunities.

  • Recruit, train, coach, and develop hotel management teams.

  • Establish performance expectations and ensure accountability across departments.

  • Monitor staffing levels, scheduling, payroll, and labor productivity.

  • Conduct regular property inspections and ensure brand, cleanliness, maintenance, safety, and service standards are maintained.

  • Address guest concerns and operational challenges promptly and professionally.

  • Build strong relationships with employees, guests, vendors, ownership, and brand representatives.

  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, business planning, renovations, and capital improvement projects.

  • Identify opportunities to control expenses and improve operational efficiency.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, brand standards, and applicable laws and regulations.

  • Support General Managers with employee relations, hiring, training, and leadership development.

  • Travel between assigned properties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years of hotel management experience, preferably in a General Manager, Area General Manager, Regional Manager, or senior hotel leadership role.

  • Strong experience with hotel operations, P&L management, budgeting, payroll, and labor costs.

  • Experience with IHG, Marriott, Hilton, or another major hotel brand preferred.

  • Strong understanding of front office, housekeeping, maintenance, sales, revenue management, and guest services.

  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop hotel management teams.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong financial and business management skills.

  • Ability to analyze hotel performance reports and implement effective action plans.

  • Proficiency with hotel PMS, Microsoft Office, and standard hotel management systems.

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
