Job description

KMG Hotels, one of the Midwest’s fastest growing owner operator of premium select service and full-service hotels is currently seeking a Corporate Operations Manager. Based out of our North Kansas City Corporate Office, the position proactively leads property teams to deliver desired financial and guest service results. This person will work closely with our Owners and other Corporate Office Stakeholders to achieve our mutual goals. The successful candidate is a self-starter that enjoys team building, problem solving and is an accomplished communicator.
Core Responsibilities:
  • Drive top line revenues, market share, and internal and external guest satisfaction.
  • Liaison with Franchisors, ensuring compliance with brand standards, QA, and other key metrics.
  • In conjunction with KMG Sales and Revenue Management constantly analyze results for improvement and implement strategies for increased performance.
  • Recruit and grow our future hotel leaders.
  • Regular operational visits prepare hotel critiques, developing plans for improvement.
  • Foster a positive work environment, respond to hotel level human resource issues.
  • In conjunction with Owners and KMG Sales, develop annual revenue budget, monitor performance to budget and develop plans to achieve budgets.
  • Monitor Labor productivity and work with teams to optimize our results.
  • Ensure assets are maintained, communicating any RM issues and Capital needs to Ownership.
  • Liaison with franchise operational partners and ensure compliance with initiatives and operating standards.

Requirements:
  • 10+ years of progressive hotel operations management.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience as Multi-Hotel Manager or Regional Manager overseeing varied branded hotels- extended stay a plus.
  • Knowledge of major brands operating and revenue platforms.
  • Occasional overnight travel.
  • Ability to work and flourish in an entrepreneurial and decentralized culture.
  • PC literacy, working knowledge of Microsoft and Google Office Suite.
  • Experience with the Kansas City hotel market.
