About Us:
The Director of Engineering is responsible for overseeing the property's facilities maintenance function, ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, service, and repair of all equipment. The Director of Engineering is a skilled leader with technical expertise in engineering and maintenance.
KEY SKILLS/RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Leadership and Supervision: Direct and supervise the Maintenance staff, overseeing the maintenance of buildings and grounds.
  • Technical Expertise: Apply extensive experience in engineering, maintenance and related fields to ensure efficient operations.
  • Problem-Solving and Decision Making: Evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately, handling problems effectively in high-pressure situations.
  • Communication Skills: Convey information and ideas clearly and effectively listen to and understand issues raised by co-workers and guests.
  • Financial Acumen: Work with and understand financial information and data, including basic arithmetic functions to support maintenance operations.
  • Project Management: Develop and implement policies and procedures for maintenance requests, schedule maintenance and ensure compliance with regulations.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience in a related field, including prior management experience.
  • Experience in a hotel or related field is required, with a trade license preferred.
