Opportunities for Position Location:

  • Southern California (including Moreno Valley, Inland Empire, Irvine areas)


Key Responsibilities:

  • Review project plans and specifications and coordinate with project teams to develop complete estimates.
  • Perform accurate quantity "take-offs" to ensure accuracy of data used in estimates.
  • Prepare conceptual budgets based on minimal information.
  • Facilitate and secure subcontractor and/or supplier quotes to ensure they are compliant with the project conditions, specifications, and design parameters.
  • Set-up new projects in Building Connected and generate bid packages for each definable feature of work.
  • Prepare instructions to bidders, bid forms, scopes of work, and other bid solicitation information as required.
  • Ensure timely completion of estimates by establishing priorities and target dates.
  • Review constructability issues with the project team.
  • Identify potential value engineering opportunities and suggest cost-saving alternatives without compromising project integrity or quality.
  • Present prepared estimates by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
  • Maintain cost data base by entering and backing up data.
  • Communicate estimate bid information to field operations at pre-construction meetings to ensure understanding of scope of job.
  • Participate in project pursuits and presentations as required.


Education and Experience Required:

  • Valid driver's license and reasonable driving record.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent related work experience.
  • At least two years of experience as an estimator in the construction industry. Estimating experience within the commercial, educational, or healthcare sectors is desirable.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control, and general profit/loss terms.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Bluebeam or Adobe.

Full Time / Salary Range:$100k-$195kdepending on experience
