Job Description – Bartender

Reports To: General Manager, Department Manager, or other designated member of hotel leadership


Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous bartending, restaurant, or hospitality experience preferred
  • Knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, cocktails, beer, and wine service
  • Prepare and cook items from the hotel’s bar food menu in accordance with hotel recipes, food safety standards and presentation guidelines
  • Ability to accurately handle cash, credit card transactions, and point-of-sale systems
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
  • Knowledge of responsible alcohol service and local liquor laws
  • Food Handler Certification and Responsible Beverage Service Certification preferred or required based on local regulations


General Responsibilities

  • Provide professional, friendly, and efficient beverage service to hotel guests
