Distribution Center Dispatcher

BLU Coppell Plant - Coppell, TX 75019

Job Description

Review schedules and work closely with shift supervisor to ensure associates remain efficient through work availability and all orders are prepared well ahead of time.

Ensure the accuracy of all information submitted by vendors, contractors or material handlers is compliant with Grupo Bimbo and CTPAT policies.

Work closely with DC Analysts to ensure all inbound and outbound shipments are processed on time and accurately reflected in the WMS and ERP systems.

This position also supports Distribution Center performance reporting and assists with various administrative tasks as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Schedule
    • Update driver information upon check in.
    • Update status of orders in WMS and ERP systems.
    • Coordinate warehouse movements to ensure timely completion of orders.
    • Email notification of delays in operation and driver arrivals.
    • Email notification to logistics and transportation concerning discrepancies in orders.
    • Consistent actualization to the Daily Schedule SharePoint.
  • Receiving
    • Update and validate driver information upon check in.
    • Email notification of driver / operational delays.
    • Coordinate and ensure the proper reception of inbounds in WMS and ERP.
    • Manage and track all dock / trailer movements for the Distribution Center.
  • Shipping
    • Release orders in WMS.
    • Print BOL for shipping orders according to customer specifications.
    • Create ASN's once confirmed order has departed.
    • Ship in WMS when order has left the facility.
    • Update BOL's / PODs to Bitam.
  • Staging
    • Assign packing and offloading location for outbound and inbound orders in an efficient and organized matter according to the status of operation.
    • Update empty stages in WMS when an order has left the facility.
    • Validate routing and systematic grouping of orders before releasing.
  • Invoicing
    • Closing pending transactions in the Sync Report.
    • Modify Orders if there are discrepancies.
    • Request Comps and Returns.
    • Ensure accuracy in billing between inventory systems.
  • End of Shift
    • Handoff information related to any pending topic to the following shift.
    • Scan all required BOL/POD documents.
    • Organize all daily records in preparation of Audits.
    • Clean area.
    • Verifying all assignments from daily shift have been completed.
    • Verify all orders shipped in WMS during your shift.
  • Other Responsibilities
    • Picking Department Operations: Assist in covering picking department operations, including writing picking case tickets, replenishing picking zones, allocating orders, and performing any other administrative duties required for the picking department.
    • Participate in Physical Inventory count.
    • Identify and report all safety hazards.
    • Participate in EOM conciliations.
    • All other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or 1 year of experience as DC Administrator.
  • 2 years of more of Customer Service experience.
  • Warehouse experience preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft 360.
  • Oracle ERP experience preferred but not required.
  • WMS experience preferred but not required.
  • Have schedule flexibility and ability to adjust to coverages as needed.
  • Scheduled availability any day of the week.
  • Constant communication with associates, departments and management team
