Summary:

Efficiently and safely produce the full range of Tee Department products by operating multiple machines and utilizing a variety of manufacturing processes.

Requires proficiency and understanding of the essential work instructions and operating and quality control procedures that govern:

  • Operate departmental machinery, including hydraulic presses, furnaces, air hoists, and forklifts.
  • Set up and operate hydraulic presses such as punch presses and flattening presses.
  • Inspect products using precision gauges and dimensional measuring instruments to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Utilize burning equipment, including hand torches, to cut, trim, and modify materials as required.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough production and process documentation, including forging reports, procedures, and timecards.
  • Fabricate tools and perform minor fabrication tasks to support production needs.
  • Other duties as assigned

Work environment:

  • Extensive exposure to all outside weather conditions and inside factory environment such as dirt, smoke, grease, noise, oil, graphite, lubricants, cold and or hot environmental conditions.
  • Continuous exposure to presses, hoists, bevel machines, electrically controlled handheld boom, furnaces, forklifts, overhead cranes, grinders, hand tools, inspection equipment, welders, band saws, stamp machines, hot steel, conveyors, hydraulic boom, and tilt table.

Physical demands:

  • Constant lifting to a maximum of 75 lbs., bending, twisting, stretching.
  • Work requires regular to continuous physical effort; stand on feet entire 10-hour shift, extreme heat from forges.
  • Wear protective equipment required in all production areas including coveralls or long sleeves, gloves, hard hat, hearing protection, metatarsal steel toed boots, safety glasses with side shields.

Required education and experience:
