Project Manager with a strong technology background who can effectively bridge the gap between business operations and technical teams. This role requires someone who understands software, technology platforms, and IT processes, while also possessing strong operational expertise to drive projects from initiation through implementation.
They will lead cross-functional RSC and field operations team members in developing, communicating, monitoring and executing tactical plans for successful implementation of new products, systems, tools, processes and procedures into the restaurants. They also drive proactive improvements in employee and customer experiences that positively impact restaurant margins through an innovative mindset.
This role reports directly to a Director in Restaurant Operations Services and is a development role that could serve as bench for other expanded roles in field operations or other functions. This person must be located in Dublin, OH or willing to relocate.
Responsibilities
  • Manages and supports multiple projects through all phases, starting with discovery/innovation concept, and all the way through implementation/evaluation. Maintains product ownership as assigned post implementation. Leads and/or supports cross-functional RSC team members to ensure successful testing, implementation and integration of new operating systems, processes, and tools into the system.
  • Leads assessments, market visits, hands-on training sessions, and operational round-table discussions to ensure operational procedures are effective, efficient, and clearly defined for testing and/or national implementation.
  • Develops and maintains quality deliverables, including detailed project plans, status reports, and steering committee updates. Supports implementation planning and communication strategies with both corporate and field stakeholders. Responsibilities include developing training materials, operating guides and hot sheets in partnership with cross-functional partners. This should also include a plan and strategy to drive system adoption.
  • Completes all calendar management activities and executes all required weekly/monthly communication, while supervising and facilitating the development and execution of system conference calls and webinar meetings. Provides timely and appropriate updates to departmental leadership regarding project tasks, issues, milestones, and overall timing.
  • Provides ongoing support to the franchise community, company field leadership and field operations on inquiries and opportunities for existing or new project processes and procedures.

Pay Range: $105,000.00 - $184,000.00 Annually
What we expect from you
Expected Work Location (In Office): It is expected that you will primarily perform work at the Wendy's Restaurant Support Center (RSC) (1 Dave Thomas Blvd, Dublin, OH 43017), or at other location(s) as designated by the Company. You are required to work in the office at least 4 days a week. Changes to work location arrangements are subject to managerial approval and business needs. #LI-Onsite
  • Bachelors Degree (Business, restaurant/hospitality management, or a related field) is preferred.
  • Project management experience & proficiency in leading cross-functional teams through all phases of a project is required.

  • Strong understanding of software development, system integrations, IT infrastructure and technology solutions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams while maintaining a business and operational perspective.

  • 2+ years of restaurant operations experience including multi-level restaurant supervision is required.
  • Strong business acumen, business maturity, organizing & planning, influence, visioning, constructive conflict skills, and experience with talent development.
  • Proven track record of analytical skills and problem solving that drives innovative solutions to complex situations through collaboration with a variety of cross functional stakeholders.
  • Natural capacity to quickly establish and build effective relationships across the organization.
  • Established influencing, consulting, and communication skills; has the ability to influence, engage and motivate people.

The pay range for this role is $105,000-184,000/yr . The pay range actually offered will take into account internal equity and budget for the open position and also may vary depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other relevant factors. This range does not include an estimated value for any benefits, bonus, or other incentives that may be applicable based on position. * The target annual bonus for this role is 20% of annualized base salary, based on actual company and personal performance.
