Description
Step Up to the Plate as a Host/Cashier!
Location: Darien, IL (Onsite)

Pay: $17.05 per hour
At Home Run Inn, we believe pizza should do more than fill you up-it should lift you up.
For nearly 100 years, we've been welcoming guests with authentic Chicago tavern-style pizza and genuine hospitality. Every great guest experience begins with a friendly voice on the phone and a warm smile at the door.
That's where you come in.
If you enjoy helping people, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and love making others feel welcome, we'd love to meet you.
What You'll Do
As a Phone Cashier / Host, you'll be one of the first people our guests interact with. Whether you're answering the phone, greeting families as they arrive, helping guests with carryout orders, or keeping the front of the restaurant running smoothly, you'll help create experiences that keep people coming back.
Every conversation matters, and every guest deserves to feel like they're part of the Home Run Inn family.
No two shifts are exactly the same-and that's part of the fun.

  • Assist guests with special requests whenever possible
Keeping the Restaurant Running Smoothly
  • Maintain a clean, organized lobby, host stand, phone station, and carryout area
  • Help stock beverages, paper products, condiments, and front-of-house supplies
  • Monitor guest wait times and seating availability
  • Support teammates by helping wherever needed during busy shifts
  • Follow Home Run Inn service standards, phone procedures, and food safety practices
You're a Great Fit If You...
  • Love talking with people and making them feel welcome
  • Stay calm and organized when things get busy
  • Enjoy multitasking and working as part of a team
  • Have a positive attitude and strong attention to detail
  • Like creating great experiences for every guest
  • Believe small moments can make a big difference
What You'll Bring
  • Must be at least 16 years old

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and regularly bend, reach, and lift throughout your shift
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Food Handler Certification within 30 days of hire
  • Safety shoes within 30 days of hire
  • Ability to communicate effectively in the primary language spoken by our guests
What to Expect
  • Flexible scheduling that works with school, family, or other commitments
  • Paid, hands-on training with experienced teammates
  • A fast-paced environment where every shift is a little different
  • Opportunities to build customer service, teamwork, and leadership skills
